The following browsers are supported by ARIeS:

- Chrome (self updating)
- Firefox versions currently supported by Mozilla
- Internet Explorer version 9, or 11 and later
- Safari versions currently supported by Apple

 

 



###    What will I need to apply?  expand\_more  

This will vary by position. Some common information and documents requested are:

- Education history
- Curriculum Vitae
- Cover Letter
- References

 

 



###    What format do my documents have to be in?  expand\_more  

You can submit documents of the following types:  
 doc, docx, pdf, rtf, rtx, txt, tiff, tif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png, xls, xlsx  
If your document is not one of these file types, please convert it to pdf format prior to submitting.

Each document must be no larger than 40 MB. For some types of documents (video, audio, image) you may submit a URL in lieu of a document.

 

 



###    Can I begin my application now and complete it later?  expand\_more  

As long as the posting is still active, and you have not yet certified and submitted your application, you may continue work on it.

To access your draft applications:

- Login to <https://academicpositions.harvard.edu>
- Click on Your Applications
- In the Applications to Complete section, select the application you want to work on
- Click on Continue your Application

###    Will I be notified that my application has been received?  expand\_more  

Yes. Shortly after you submit your application, you will receive an email from Harvard (address "[aries\_academic\_hiring@harvard.edu](mailto:aries_academic_hiring@harvard.edu)") confirming receipt of your application. The email will also contain information about references and checking the progress of your application.

 

 



###    What if I have specific questions about the position?  expand\_more  

For questions about the position, application requirements, deadlines, etc., email the administrator in charge of the search.
